Joni was amazing at helping me as a first time mother, learn how to take care of my baby as well as giving me the support and care so that I could rest and recuperate after giving birth. She is incredibly knowledgeable about babies and made both myself and my husband feel confident and comfortable about everything from breast feeding to bathing, schedules and health issues, play time, tummy time aside from taking amazing care of our daughter. She was always quick to help around the house and even walk our dog. She blended into our household seamlessly and we missed her very much  when she left. I would highly recommend Joni to anybody.

Joni  is warm, calm and gentle. As much as we first thought that she would be there to take care of the baby, we quickly realized that she was also there to care for my wife and myself in bringing a new life into the world. She taught us about breast feeding. She taught us all about baby care, and how to deal with the emotional ups and downs that first time parents have. She had many effective suggestions that just made everything that little bit easier and better. She always stayed aware of the big picture in not taking over, but simply assisting us in doing things the right way. Joni worked with us the first two weeks after giving birth, however she became part of our lives even before I gave birth. She made herself available to us right after our first meeting.  She constantly was in contact with us while we were in the hospital. We really felt like we were her priority!  She was calm, competent and loving. She was an invaluable source of information. One thing we especially appreciated about Joni was that she never told us what to do. She offered advice and suggestions, but enevitably she believed we were the parents and all decisions were up to us. It gave us the confidence as new parents to try and take the lead, even though we were scared and didn’t really know what we were doing. She has kept her word and has already been back to see how we were doing. Joni went above and beyond the call of duty and seems to view her job as more than just a job, but more like a chance to come in and connect with new families when they need a little support.
